The exotic Cispatá Bay
The exotic Cispatá Bay (Sun and beach)
Cispatá Bay is one of the most paradisiacal and exotic places in the region. Here, you can enjoy a variety of culinary offerings and marvel at the charms of nature. It was once an area for rice cultivation, but in the last 70 years, it has become a protected area by the municipal POT (Territorial Planning Plan) and the Regional Autonomous Corporation CVS. It has also been declared an AICA (International Area for the Conservation of Birdlife). Bathed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea, Cispatá Bay is rich in diverse flora and fauna, as it is located in the estuarine zone of the Morrosquillo Gulf mangrove forest. It is an ideal place for bird watching, with species like herons, guacharacas, hawks, eagles, seagulls, and pelicans. Various mammals, such as the mangrove fox and the bottlenose dolphin, as well as reptiles like turtles and the needlefish, can also be found. In the depths of its waters, you can encounter fish such as snook, pacora grouper, snapper, sierra, nurse shark, and various mollusks, crustaceans, oysters, crabs, shrimp, and prawns. The bay is also home to all varieties of mangroves: red, black, white, zaragoza, and piñuelo.
